We traveled to Camp Cadillac in Cadillac, Michigan in July, 2019. Bobbi, the owner of Camp Cadillac, invited us to visit and review her campground over the winter. After checking out the details on their website we knew it was a great fit for our family.
Bobbi and her husband are awesome, hands-on campground owners/hosts. It’s obvious that they want to make sure all their guests have a great time. We’ll be back for sure!
Our Campsite at Camp Cadillac
We camped on site 23 during our weekend stay. The site was like the others in the campground, spacious, shady, and grassy. We had no trouble parking our 34 ft fifth wheel. It also had full hook-up which is always a bonus.
Camp Cadillac’s Amenities
As soon as we pulled into the campground we were happy with our decision to visit. Unlike some other private campgrounds we’ve visited, Camp Cadillac has many mature trees. It was hot the weekend we visited and the trees made it much more comfortable. And, it gave the campground a relaxing, “up north” feel.
Camp Cadillac keeps kids and adults busy between its amenities and activities. It was Chocolate Lovers weekend when we visited which included a chocolate slip n’ slide! Our kids couldn’t have been more excited. We also played candy bar bingo and made a chocolate craft. Yum!
Besides the chocolate fun, we also checked out the regular activities. From riding the kids’ barrel train, swimming in the pool, to visiting an on-site petting zoo, there was plenty to keep us busy!
The facilities at the campground are older but well maintained and updated. The bathrooms in particular caught us by surprise. Besides being clean, they had stylish tile covering the walls and floor. I asked Bobbi about the recent remodel and she said she did all the tiling herself!
The Area Around Camp Cadillac
Camp Cadillac is close to anything you might need within minutes. Whether you need groceries, gas, or a meal it’s all easy to find. We didn’t explore the area too much because we were having too much fun at the campground and only stayed two days.
